My ancetral name is Alagamil (A-la-ga-meelth), my English name is Nicole Norris, belonging to the Halalt people of the Hul’qumi’num speaking nations. I currently reside in the Snuneymuxw (Nanaimo) territory. I am the granddaughter of Late Nora George and Late Ernie Rice Sr; eldest child of Late Frank and Joan Norris. My background is varied and vast from Corporate development, intergovernmental communications to mental health and cultural healing.

Over the better part of the last decade I have concentrated on the healing aspects of services among the First Nations along the coast of Vancouver Island and the remote northern communities. Together with my partner, Roberta Wildman (Hemasilaogwa) we offer a grand list of services on a weekly basis within communities
